Will Norm Hitzges Be Bought Out?

Richie Witt says he cannot fully substantiate it but here is a post from his Observer column this morning. In all fairness Richie is also the one who said that Michael Irvin would not return to ESPN.

"Radio rumor that I totally cannot substantiate: Cumulus, The Ticket's parent company, is in such a financial spiral that it will again force employees to take unpaid vacations before the end of the year. And, on the horizon, early contract buyout options for veterans like, oh, say, maybe a Norm Hitzges."

If Norm is bought out would he go to 105.3 and do mornings, assuming Jagger is let go or not resigned?

I would think at this point in his career, if Norm's contract was bought out, he would just retire.

And will all employees have to take unpaid furloughs this time or just the ones who really can't afford it?

I think as long as someone lets Norm on the air, he will be on the air.
