WILL NOW DO TO Z WHAT IT FAILED TO DO TO LITE?????

Lite is still more than viable after the FRESH attack---Z will do fine.I did not tell my daughter and she is 14 and likes Taylor Swift's pop versions more than the country originals----she still wants a country non-HD station that covers MIDWOOD,BROOKLYN11230. ALSO :will NOW hurt HITS 106??????

Probably. I use the Philadelphia Market as an example. Similar Demographics. Two Urban Stations, and a Clearchannel Top40 CHR (Q102), The rhythmic Wired 96.5 is doing much better than Q102.

As for hurting 106? Depends on where you live I guess. In the Bronx, 106.1 FM is not a reliable signal, so I dont listen to it here.

Hit 106 is on 106.3 and 106.5, not 106.1. And I will say that although I am not thrilled with this station, part of me wants to support it since maybe, just maybe, it could put another nail in Hit 106's coffin and prompt Press Communications to bring G-Rock back. Not getting my hopes up too high though.

You should be able to get Hit 106.3 in the Bronx if the FCC did its job. There's a pirate station on 106.3 in the Bronx, but at least it blocks out Hit 106. 106.1 is a top 40 station too, BLI on Long Island.

He's actually referring to WBLI which is on 106.1 in Long Island. I know theres no chance in hell 106.3 can be heard in the Bronx.
