Will Opie and Anthony Eventually Make It to Philadelphia?

They're #1 in New York among men 18-49 now. It just shows what a little patience can do. Do you think if one of the CBS stations doesn't pick them up that someone else will? 18-49 is a very saleable demographic, so I understand.

These guys are not on in Philly ? Philly is a very lucky city !

I would love to see those numbers. Really? They beat z-100? With that lousy chopped up show?

Ditto. O & A tanked in Philly mornings. The only chance YSP had against WMMR was Kidd Chris, and they were too afraid to let the show stay on the air. (The Schwoogie song was mild compared to some of the other stuff they pulled.) The problem with both O&A and Kidd Chris was that they worked much better in afternoon drive than mornings, and that awful all-rock morning show YSP is airing now is probably their only chance at survival.

Then again, I'm probably the only one on here who dug the Matt & Huggy/Kidd Chris/Scotty & Alex lineup, so I've got no room to speak.

Yes 18-49 is a saleable demographic - however, O&A are #14 in this demo during the last Quarter (Winter 2008). Furthermore, they have never been #1 Men 18-49 in the morning on WXRK in NY as far as I can tell. In fact, the Winter 2008 book has them at #7.

No..they did not beat Z100 in that demo and that isn't even Z100's Demo. O and A might be number one men 18-20 or 45-49 but not 18-49.

there was talk awhile ago that gm wanted to flip 97.5 to talk with O&A in mornings

but i guess they called those plans off

Are O&A contractually permitted to air on terrestrial radio in Philly that's not owned by CBS?

Does anyone have the numbers?

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE.

Anyways.

Bingo. I can't speak for O&A, but the Kidd Chris show definitely changed (though it was the same show at heart)- adding sports, news, more bit-focused rather than more conversational and a lot less of BSing with the callers (something I really missed).

WYSP need to stay with music on morning drive. They don't need to have talk in the morning anymore.

I just read elsewhere on the internet that O&S have been dropped by WAQX in Syracuse and WYSP in Philadelphia denied that they would be coming there.

so, to summarize ...

"blah blah blah O&A. blah blah blah Kidd Chriss. blah blah blah WYSP. blah blah blah Schwoogies. blah blah blah 18-49."

are we all up to speed now? ;D

agreed. sounds good right now. a refreshing change from the long-winded circle-jerks that invariably occupy the morning slot.
