Will Red Sox Baseball on EEI finally "settle" The Score?

With The Score holding a troup of loyal listeners over the past two years, will that change with the start of Red Sox Baseball broadcasts on WEEI-FM? Loyal Score listeners will obviously pre-set 103.7 for daily games, but will they go back to the Score to listen to Sox talk in the morning? Or will they simply stay on EEI for interviews with players, coaches, owners etc?

Not a slander, just a thought.

Probably Not, I predict WEEI will tie with WPRO or beat them in the Summer Book. As for WSKO, I still for the life of can't understand how they have not dumped one of the frequencies.

>Speaking of "The Score" will they have Yankees or will they move the Yankees to WPRO? I am going to guess the Yankees will remain on WSKO since that is the only thing worth listening to on WSKO.

I echo Kenny's sentiments and questions. The Score's overall ratings are horrible for a local station, yet they have held a loyal cadre of listeners. Moreover, it is hard to argue that WEEI does not offer a vastly superior product. My guess is that Score loyalists like the occasional Rhode Island flavor, such as Brown Bears football. With that said, I wholeheartedly agree with Kenny; if the Red Sox have a good season, which is still up for debate, WEEI-FM could very well vie with WPRO for the top spot.

Brown Bears Football?
"If the Red Sox have a good season." It doesn't matter much(interest is so high) though a good season is obviously prefered. The Sox are the most important property in the market, a difference maker, a wagon. The Score, it's a station for "loyalists" to call, not for listeners to tune into. Everytime the Sox are discussed on the station they will be pluging a rival station's property: but what choice do they have? And the Italian/frontrunner/my Yankees thing, is really old.

Why listen to The Score talk about the Red Sox when they air the Yankees? I'd rather put on WEEI and listen to them talk about the Boston Red Sox. Can't wait till the start of the season, should be a good year.
