Will Seacrest's weekday show come to NCI?

I know they are trying to shove it down everybody else's throat, so will it happen, and when?

they have first right of refusal....i doubt you see it on NCI. Boxer has more of a local following than seacrest ever will. and they want it live...which he does. plus they have sponsers for the what you say buffet show and joe does phones like no other. seriously there's more content with Boxer and seacrest can't spike his hair like boxer either...

TGN, who owns them? Lima is a new market for us as we are now working with stations nearby in Celina.

I think it is a possibility. However,it should land on 93.3.

I think they have to put it on NCI...how would it look if 93.3 beat NCI that badly?

I'm pretty sure it would never happen on 93.3. I can't see Ryan introducing songs from Bette Midler and The Carpenters. That station is so sleepy sometimes!

Ummmm...I really like Joe Boxer...Nice, Everybodies pal...like Mark Dantzer with talent...but Seacrest in he market will compete just as well in that time slot as Stern did in the mornings...totally different audience but with the signal, promotion, brand recognition and so on...people will tune in...which means more advertising dollars which means Joe Boxer could go back to presenting on just one station.

The other thing...IF it doesn't work, you still have Joe in the fold and slide him back in the slot.

hmmmm.....with NCI's heritage and trending.... i can almost put money on it that joe stays where he is....just don't see it, but stranger things have happened. really, i'm quite surprised joe hasn't gone nationally syndicated.

btw, is this mr. katz?

With all due respect to Mr. Seacrest and what his show may bring to Middays on 'NCI, it won't happen as long as Boxer handles two shows for CC Columbus. Being a former programmer and sales geek in the south, I can tell you Seacrest's show will have excellent celeb interviews, but will take up too much of CC's inventory that'll go straight back to Premiere and not CC-Columbus' bottom line. Judging by the suits decision to place him in both afternoon on 'COL and Middays on 'NCI, he's just too valuable for both now. I'm guessing outside of morning drive, he's making the CC cluster a lot of money & they're taking good care of him as well. I personally think he's a dork and annoying at times(Maybe I'm just jealous because he's a good looking dude), but I also know from a friend of a friend that knows him, that he's turned down gigs in Chi-town, Minneapolis, & the west coast recently because he wanted to prove that you can be successful on two station in one market.

Also, someone earlier had brought up him being syndicated. He had a kids pop show that didn't do so well, but he's getting ready to put out another weekend show that is supposedly different from your typical Top 40 Countdown, Pop culture shows. We'll see I guess. Just wanted to share some insight and stuff I have heard throught the grapevine.

I can't imagine NCI refusing the Seacrest brand which would allow another station in the market to pick up the show. If I were in programming row over at W5th Ave...I'd sign up the show in a heartbeat.

Good question, why such the hard on for Seacrest?

The guy is an overexposed schmuck...but that's just two cents from someone who's not in the target demo.

Oh good god no! I wish I were. I would not have any student loans to deal with or be living in Eastern Ohio! Believe me, I like him ruining local radio just as much as you all do. I was actually more curious to see if even a herritage station would be forced by those not necessarily in Columbus but more southwestern? to put him into another top 50 market. I actually NCI because it is what a good, powerful, local, station should be.
Hope this answers the question! Haha!

Even in down books we do quite well in middays. Seacrest is a helluva talent, but why change something that isn't broken. If I end up breaking it, then we'll see... but then again, who knows...
