I have noticed Howard and Bubba are not on each others show as they have been in the past. Both shows are good radio and hope he does stay, but I am sure there is going to be major changes once the merger goes through. Maybe Bubba will be a victim of cost reductions.
 
I don't know, i'm not feeling it in regards to Bubba...can that show, put Greg Fitzsimmons on...

Maybe it's a southern thing, but it's not even funny in crude way...no imagination, the bits are lame...let me guess, uhh, Tucker Carlson is on the show, uhh maybe Mattie Yocum..."we'll be talking to Joe Schmoe dirt track champion"....

You could find 100 guys in this country, myself included who could put on a funnier show....
 
Everyone is entitled to a opinion but I think its funny or funnier than 98% of what I heard on radio (Sat and Test). Oh and being from there Southern Part of U.S. I still find it very entertaining.
 
I have a feeling bubba will get some sort of upgrade to his contract...but id like to hear another comedian with a decent show on there, like Greg Fitzsimmons, Paul F. Thompkins or even Colton & Aboud (Modern Humorists), something that makes you laugh but is also deep in thought...
 
I don't believe that BTLS will be renewed.
Bubba's and O&A's expiring contracts makes for a nice transition for
O&A to do afternoons on Howard 101 after the merger goes through.

There is no way in hell Howard will let that happen ...You'll hear Beetlejuice and High-Pitched Eric replace Bubba before O &A do.
 
I had to add a few comments on this subject.

1st of all: Ned is a creepy old guy. Almost to the point,that a wanted poster of him should be hanging up at locations of the post office.

2nd of all: Is Bubba really happy at Sirius? Was he not raising hell about wanting a increase in pay last year & this year?

3rd of all: Somebody cleaned up/re-edited the entry for Bubba on Wikipedia. Because it did have a lot more info about him and the show.

4th of all: I thought Howard hated Opie & Anthony.
 
Howard, in his own words, could care less about Opie and Anthony.

O&A, on the other hand, HATE Howard (or, at least, they feign hate in order to drum up some sort of feud...which Howard doesn't care to be involved in)
 
If Howie has his way, O&A will be gone post merger, as their a waste of airspace.. As for bubba, I have a feeling this will be all decided after the merger goes through.
 
Its clear from on-air conversations BTLS initially signed a lowball contract and now he wants to be paid.

I agree there will be a post-merger BTLS/OA decision. Howie won't have a say it will be a dollars/cents decision by the bosses. Whichever provides the best cost/benefit ratio.

Tried to listen to OA when I had XM and I have them on DTV but just don't like em at all. Won't listen.

I listen to BTLS for a few minutes here or there if they are on something I like but never lasts. More Ned would be better.

So what is the latest news? Is Bubba going to resigned or not by Sirius?
 
So if Bubba The Love Spone is not re-signed by Sirius? What dj or djs would be his replacement?
 
Somebody get on this & find out what the deal is. There is talk on Tampa/St.Pete board that Bubba has been talking to Cox Radio & could be back on the air on a Cox Radio Station in Tampa/St.Pete area.

I don't think Bubba will resign with Sirius. I'm sure he wants a ton of money and I don't think Sirius mgmt really believes that he brings that many subs in.

By the way Ned is not a real person. Manson is Ned.
 
If he goes back to "free" radio, expect a boring product...oh,wait, he already has that ;)

The only schtick he has is ned and all the porn star chicks he brings on air...

I stand corrected. Bubba announced on Stern today that he has re-upped with a one-year extension. He says it's for the same money. Also, he will be broadcast on another medium (probably XM, they wouldn't say) in a separate deal that will be announced tomorrow.
 
I like Bubba and hope he stays, I'm not a big Ferrall fan but guess some are. Seems like Bubba would be a better fit for the channel than Ferrall if straws had to be drawn. Howard has enough Wack Packers that could work their own shows for peanuts & fill airtime easily. Give them an open mic & wait for the train wreck. I'm even ok with Stern repeating his show throughout the day since I don't normally listen for 5 hours solid every day.

I've heard Opie & Anthony but nearly fell asleep before I could change channels quickly enough. At least David Lee Roth is back with Van Halen where he belongs, so that's not an option. ;D
