will someone please put 1480 out of its misery

This station has Zero ratings, how long are they going to continue with the urban formats that had no ratings on this waste of a frequency. From Urban Talk, to Urban Gospel, to Urban Oldies to Jazz. Just put Standards on 1480 and let it ride, bet it will have some good numbers, and the stereo HD signal on 106.1 would only help.

Hangman: Sounds like you and Julius are drinking out of the same pitcher of Kool-Aid.

And, after all, standards worked so well on WHAT 1340 - another station with a bad signal. Good numbers? What does it profit a station to get "good numbers" and not sell time?

Lots of standards streams online. Pick one.

1480 is doing just fine

It actually pulled in 0.2 ratings in a couple of recent books. A non-show in this book means nothing. I've explained this before, I'll explain it again. Clear Channel's motive is not to make smooth jazz have skyrocketing ratings on 1480. The goal is to promote the iHeartRadio internet app. 1480 is the vehicle for that. And from what I hear, since 1480 flipped to smooth jazz, the smooth jazz channel on iHeartRadio is one of the most popular formats in the area. Goal accomplished. Smooth jazz on 1480 is here to stay.

I love the smooth jazz format!!! I'm in Camden Co. and it comes in with a good signal. Not strong like KYW or WFIL but it works.
