Gimme More has been trending downward for the last thre weeks...already down 670+ spins this week. No #1 for Brit.
I hope not. I really don't like her. She's a disgrace to society. She's teaching children how to be stupid. That's not cool. I don't get it.

Obviously it's after the fact, but I just wanted to mention that I wouldn't be surprised if her new one "Piece of Me" DID reach #1 or at least Top 5.
The problem with Britney is that the reaction to her singles are amazingly mixed. People either really love her or really hate her.

I think the record would have had a better shot if the single didn't have the "it's Britney bitch" at the beginning and all the talking near the end.

Because that's a production director's job. Of course, production directors are few and far between these days, so very few stations bothered editing it out.
I agree, it would have had a better shot had it been edited across the board. It's a hot track, and Danja did a great job with it. I'm actually not sure I feel the same way about "Piece Of Me". It's okay, but it's not as good.
