Will The New CBS-FM Have Reverb?

It's been a mainstay on the original CBS-FM, and I was wondering if anyone in the know could tell us two days before we all find out if the new CBS-FM will have reverb! (verb... rb... b...)

I really hope they do have the reverb again. When CBSFM took off the reverb back in august 2004, the sound quality of the station was terrible.

I hope they bring the "echo chamber" back, too. When they took it away, it made their mighty jocks sound like mere mortals! LOL!

Oh yeah. That's the first question those CBS-FM listeners will be asking.

That's going backwards

Reverb sounds so 60's. WABC turned off its reverb in 1980.

People who grew up with music on FM don't want reverb, period, stop.

Thank you.

That was the 2nd most annoying thing about Old CBS-FM (the very short playlist was the worst).

I know it was not the deciding factor, but both WABC & CBS-FM sunk to their respective demises after the they dumped the reverb. Again I know that is not why, but listeners of both stations loved it, I say bring it back ::)

WABC was still using reverb in '78 when Disco 92, the original KTU, went from nowhere to #1. WABC was still using reverb in '79 when KTU remained at #1.

if they had the people meters back then, ktu wouldn't have beaten WABC; it just became the trendy thing to say you were listening to; like testing,;based on nothing, in reality,,,,

Anybody listening off-air: have they put the reverb back in now that they're stunting up to 1:01?

No reverb but it is great to hear Bob Shannon, Dan Taylor and the new guys. It does not have the reverb but still the best day in N.Y. radio in over 2 years!
