Will the Price is Right make 75 years.

25 more continuous years on TV? That’s a looooooong time. Yes it’s 2/3 there, but predicting a quarter century out is kind of meaningless, no?

Was it taped in Television City or a different stage.
Why would an NBC show be taped on CBS property?

Update: A quick check on Wikpedia (usual caveats apply) reveals that other networks' shows were taped there, but TPIR has only been taped there since 1972, when its CBS run began.

Also, the NBC TPIR was a very different show. The contestants sat at a panel table and guessed prices from their seats. No hysterics, no wheel spinning, no theatrics.

Regardless of where it was taped, it bears only the connection of the name and broad concept. Jeopardy pays tribute to the Fleming era in some opening montages, but for continuity, this series began in 1984.

Price could go away today and come back in 25 years…that doesn’t mean it made it 75 years.

True CBS Studio City center in the San Fernando Valley where KCAL9, KCBS2, CBS News and CBSN Los Angeles have their news offices there but their entertainment offices are rented out to other parties. Note CBS sold Studio Center in 2021 in the San Fernando Valley to a property investment group over office spaces.

The Cullen show was done in New York City. The NBC show used the Hudson, Colonial and Ziegfeld Theaters. When it moved to ABC in 1963, they used the Ritz Theater.

Weren't there some game shows in the Ed Sullivan Theater. Or CBS Studio 50 as it was known.

Yes. The $10,000 Pyramid taped there during its CBS run (1973-74, except for two weeks when they did a stint at Television City) as did the 1975 show Musical Chairs and the 1978 CBS show Pass the Buck. The only other CBS game since the 70s that didn't tape at Television City was Give-N-Take (1975), which used a studio on the Warner Bros. lot as it was co-produced by Warners.
