Will the real TU Musica please....

I was listening today to 92.5/104.9 Digital and noticed that most of the station promos said in one way or another blah blah...Tu Musica or Tu Musica blah blah. Were they doing that before Recuredos became Tu Musica-Hits FM?

Of course, beyond the spelling error, KINV was "Recuerdo" and never with an "s" so I suspect you may not be understanding the liners on Digital, either.

Thanks for the recuerdo. But the question was about the format change. Stay with me on this. They... KINV, are using the moniker of Tu Musica. Did Digital add Tu Musica in response to the Recuerdo to Tu Musica change?

I wasn't paying attention to the blah blah before, with the entrance of Tu Musica to Austin the usage of Tu Musica from both side caught my attention.

"Of course" doesn't answer my question.

"Tu Música" is a positioner, not a name. The name is the dial position.

Same thing Univision's FM in Puerto Rico has done for about 4 decades in the CHR / Top 40 format.

David E.. if the recuerdo format reaches a core target exmp:Adults with buying power. Then why the demise of this format and almost every market? Will this new pop station in Austin bring a local morning show?

Almost every market? Only KINV and KCOR have changed. There are Recuerdo's in SF, Fresno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, LA, Houston, Dallas (where it is #1 25-54) and McAllen and Albuquerque. In the highly assimilated markets like ABQ and SA, the format has more challenges but in places like LA, where it is on a pair of little A's, it's now #6 general market 12+.
