Will the RTN be comming to the Internet?

I have enjoyed watching tv on the internet, and have come across stations like WSM, KGCU and KGPT. Theese all broadcast old tv shows from the 1950s. KGPT is running an add for RTN and they say that it is starting on april 1st.

I wonder if this meens that I'll be able to watch on the net?

I don't know if it still runs, but you used to be able to pick up RTN station WNGS Springville/Buffalo NY on the Web.

I used to be able to get it there, but it's been down at least since last Summer. I e-mailed trying to find out what happened, but got no response.

I am lucky to live in Chicago where we get ME-TV and ME-TOO that are low power TV stations that show old TV shows. They broadcast pretty much the same things as RTN

RTN is available on a digital sideband in my area, but not on DirecTV so
I have to switch over to the rabbit ears to watch them. I think perhaps
they are a marketing tool to try and get people to choose cable over the
dish?

I searched all over the 'net yesterday but couldn't find an active link to RTN on the 'net. AFAIK it is not broadcast in my area (Phoenix, AZ) nor is it available on my sat supplier DirecTV.

I'd love to see some of those old 50's and 60's shows again. Anyone have a current 'net link?

TIA

...it's supposed to be put on Channel 7.2 of KAZT's digital signal, but it hasn't been added yet...

Well the answer is no. At least not through Kgpt49. I was watching all morning and finely there came an anouncement that said if we wanted rtn, we had to go to channel 49 over the air.

That's not possable an less you live in Kansas.
Kgpt dot com will, however, continue to webcast old movies and tv shows from the 30s, 40s and 50s.
You also might want to check out Google video. I enter Kinescope in the sirch edit box. If I chuse the long combo box, I get almost 40 pages of hits.

I haven't tried retrotelevision.net yet.
It probably doesn't work either.

WOW cable just added RTN to its lineup in Michigan. It is from WXYZ DT2 here in detroit. A great addition, so I guess TV land just got bumped off my favorite list.

If you mention RTN or ALN on TV Land's discussion board, you face a chance of being deleted. They're abandoning the classic TV audience, but they don't want any other network with classic TV mentioned.
