Will the Ticket 760 ever sound good again?

Since they changed the patters it seems like the sound quality has really gone down hill. It almost hurts my ears to listen to them now, it sounds like its not in tune. Of course I cant pick them up at night after they changed the patterns,, I cant pick up any sports really at night and I'm only around 30 miles south of Austin. but durring the day I listen to them.

The sound quality has dropped off a bit, but during the day they still put a generally marginal signal into the austin area. Never get anything but garbage at 760 after the sun goes down. Have never even been able to pick up WJR from down here.

I think I read something somewhere about ticket operating on a temp build permit from the fcc over the last few years where they could make the signal non-directional. that permit i believe expired sometime in '05 and now the signal is back to a south/southwestern directional pattern. therefore everything northeast of the I-35 & 1604 corridor will now have a tough time picking up the station.

Sounds like you need a better antenna. Maybe one of <a target="_blank" href=http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/mwant/4316.html>these</a> would help?

While we're on the subject, is WOAI not in HD any more? I dont hear it the HD noise anymore.

What about The Zone in Austin? I have noticed WOAI is weaker here in Austin the last few weeks.
