WILL THESE SHIFTS EVER RETURN (LIVE)?

I won't even venture into live overnight shows since their disappearance isn't a recent thing.
Nights on PRO-FM
Any shift on Coast (forget evenings which hasn't had a local jock in years)
Any shift after AM drive on B101
Nights on HJY
Anyone think a turnaround could come sometime down the line & these shifts would be staffed live'n'local?

From what I can see on the landscape and horizon right now-a big nope to all with 2 exceptions:
I think they would like a live person on Pro-FM nights for more $$ from the clubs for having someone other than Jess or Kim appearing; but they will continue with the current process until Farid is shown the door and a real radio person takes the helm in corporate.
I also think Dennis would like to have someone live nights on HJY for the same reason of getting some more club $$ coming in; but the trend w/ all CC clusters doesn't really look like that will be the way.

I was in Upstate NY this past weekend, and noticed something worth noting in Albany. 98.3 WTRY, a 6kW CC station in a market smaller than Providence sounds 100% better than B101. They're still playing a lot of the older stuff that B101 won't touch anymore, appear to have a live/local weekday afternoon jock, and at least a locally voicetracked jock when I heard it on Sunday around 11 AM.

What is going on here?!?!

Why doesn't Coast carry Ryan Seacrest live?

Ryan Seacrest isn't offered live. It's only offered as Midday or PM show, via an FTP. I heard a station in Portland, ME (WJBQ) carrying Seacrest while I was up north for Memorial Day and it sounded good. You can tell they took the time to make it sound live.

I see more regional live shifts if anything with the CC stations for ex. WHEB's morning show turning up on WHJY.
B101- forget it while CC still owns it.That crappy National Voicetracking will continue. My IPOD sounds just as good if not better with 1000 songs plus with a $10 FM transmitter from Walmart at this piont.

WSNE- I'm curious about the music in the morning and how that works out.I wonder if a tweaking in Middays and overnights may take place to go up against PRO.Clear Channel is Billions in the whole so there will be more cuts or selling very soon.

For that matter, if any East Coast stations indeed carried Ryan Seacrest's show live, they would have to do so at 3 AM in the morning.

Sorry DToTheJ, it would be 12 noon (West Coast is 3 hours behind us, not ahead). If it were 3am, he'd be broadcasting somewhere out in the middle of the Atlantic...he's out in LA
