Will we see a new format on 104.3?

With the recent FCC ruling allowing WJZA 103.5 to move their license of operation from Lancaster to Pickerington, will Saga continue to play Smooth Jazz on both frequencies or blow one of them up? If 103.5 will cover most of the metro area then 104.3 should become dispensable, right? If that does become the case, then what will we see Saga do with 104.3?<P ID="signature">______________

Considering 104.3 does not cover all of Columbus with a easly listenable signal, I dont see Saga changing formats anytime soon. I suspect the Jazz Simucast is to stay for a while even when 103.5 "moves"

Don't forget that many former Columbus residents now live in Delaware County.

104.3 has a much better signal in Delaware county than 103.5 will have, even after the move to Pickerington.

Re: And how about 103.1, 1580 and 1550?

I thought about this too but I think that they keep the Smooth Jazz on both frequencies with much better coverage of the market. They fill a niche not filled by anyone else and like tpt said, with growth moving north of Columbus, I see it staying the same.

Now the question is, 1550 changed hands... do we see anything change with that? (Yes I realize it was all in the same family so there could be no change at all) How about 103.1 and 1580? I assume those stations stay in the hands of the current owners only a short while until they can find a buyer. Are the two Columbus Spanish-language broadcasts in any danger? I did check 103.1 and 1580 out of pure curiosity and they are both still on the air :D 103.1 actually sounded pretty good sound-quality wise. I have this mental image of their poor quality stream that they ran on there for awhile before the switch to Spanish so I was not expecting much.
