WILL WFAN BRING BACK SID ROSENBERG?

about as bad as Russo. I cant listen to FAN anymore...how Imus is still relevant is beyond me.

Hard to take that article seriously when the writer keeps referring to him as "Sidiot."

Sid Rosenberg back on The Fan? Not a chance

Rosenberg-to-WFAN was idle speculation on Bob Raissman's part.

Raissman also cooked up the thought of NBC employee Bob Costas calling baseball games on TBS next year. That idea is not going anywhere -- NBC has ties to MSNBC, TBS has ties to CNN.

As in any business, you have to analyze risk vs. reward. WFAN has plenty of talent, and I'm not sure that bringing Sid back buys them anything. I don't think he'll make a difference in the ratings in any time slot over what they have today. Advertisers won't pay more because of him, and quite frankly, some could now or in the future, bail on his show.

Personally, I like Sid's work, but I don't see any business reason to bring him back (unless Carlin is unhappy doing Imus instead of real sports.)

You think Imus is bad on radio, watch him on PSNBC where all he does mumble and drool on himself. What a joke. Put this Schmuck out to pasture!

Sorry to disagree with you on your Imus comment Tookiebird. I really like the show - keeps me up on a whole lot of important issues - he's a bit of a "creepy weird old uncle type" true - but the cast around him is excellent. The show makes me laugh all the time.

Not to mention a steady flow of interesting guests - some of the most powerful political people in the nation (House of Representatives & Senate) and a parade of the countries best journalists and authors are also regular visitors. Ratings in NYC have him #4 with Men 35-64 and #8 with Persons 35-64. Plus, the MSNBC show beats CNN in the cable tv ratings on a regular basis. The show has a reputation of reaching an affluent audience - listen to advertises on the show. That's what matters.

Advertisers??? Let's see #4 35-64 isn't that the demo CBS-FM was #1 or 2 in and got bumped for Jack. Yes sir reee

I watched Imus today and let's see they gave away Larry The Cable guy DVD's, We get to hear I-man's hillbilly country tunes all the time. Grant you his supporting cast is good, but the I-Man needs to hang it up. I'm so grossed out when i have to see his nasty drool running down his chin onto his hillbilly shirts.

They couldn't even get the audio right this morning. :(
