Will WKPE (Cape Country 104) switch back to CHR?

With the loss of WRZE 96.3 The Rose, will WKPE switch their format back to CHR? How do you think WKPE is doing with their country format at the moment?

I heard Cape Country 104 in stores and restaurants this past weekend. Country stands out, compared to all the oldies/classic hits formats I hear on the dial there. Probably a much easier than CHR.

Cape Country 104 (103.9) is giving 98.1 WCTK some competition on Cape Cod and the nearby mainland. Although I don't listen often to it, I love that Cape Country is not afraid to play some true classics even from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. They play today's country and the legends. You'll probably never hear WCTK even mention that word "legends". WCTK is a Top 40 country station. I will admit, Cape Cod really does not seem like the atmosphere for a country station, and I do miss 96.3 The Rose. Fun 107 (107.1) and Kiss 108 (107.9) will only go as far east as Dennis before fading out from the strong signal of Cape Classical 107.5 WFCC in Chatham. Jam'n 94.5 can only be heard in the western part of the Cape because of 94.3 WZAI in Brewster, and 92 PRO FM can only be heard in the western and middle part Cape because of 92.1 WOMR in Provincetown. So yes, a CHR to cover the whole Cape would be nice. Frank FM really does not need two frequencies, because the 101.1 can be heard throughout the whole Cape. Maybe 93.5 for a CHR if it could have a stronger signal.

@Everyone, 99.9 WQRC and 106.1 WCOD is the cloest you will get to CHR. They are HOT AC. Look at WQRC now have on "American Top 40" with Ryan Seacrist. At the moment, that's the cloest you can get to CHR

I would hope so, I miss 96.3 The Rose! It seems alot of CHR stations in New England are going Sports: B 97 in Bangor, Red Hot 95 in Portland, Etc...

Actually, it seems like a lot of FM stations in New England are ending up being legally adopted by WEEI...

yes, in a few years you will be able to set all of your pre-sets to a different station and be able to here WEEI on each one :p

.....except that the mothership (WEEI-AM) will have much lower ratings than the baby EEIs after having its clocks cleaned by the new WBZ-FM
