So, about 10 months as Willie.
How many months will they be The Wolf?

They must be laughing in the halls at Lincoln Financial, because they are obviously clueless in the halls of CBS.

92.5 THE WOLF Debuts In Denver This Morning Monday, October 3

New Country Radio Station Gives Listeners Something To “Howl” About

DENVER (October 3, 2006) - KWLI-FM launched its new country music format, THE WOLF, on 92.5 earlier this morning. The station made the switch during the Jesse & Shotgun Morning Show. 92.5 THE WOLF features an extensive playlist from the best new country music artists of today, including Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley, and the brightest new stars of tomorrow.

In addition, 92.5 THE WOLF will feature the longest music sets with fewer commercial interruptions than any other country station in Denver. The station will also be streamed online at www.925thewolf.com allowing access for listeners in and out of the Denver market.

“Country music is America’s hottest growing format and Denver has played a part in its increasing popularity,” says Don Howe, SVP- Market Manager of CBS RADIO, Denver. “We’ve made great strides bringing the format to the market with the support of our listeners, and believe this move caters specifically to their musical preference and tastes.”

Willie 92.5 will continue to appeal to heritage country listeners on 92.5 HD-2 and online at www.925thewolf.com.

“92.5 THE WOLF is about presenting the current and future stars of country music in a way that is fun and up to date with today’s trends,” adds Bill Gamble, Program Director of 92.5 THE WOLF. “People love choices, and we’ve just given Denver one to howl about!”

Gamble will expand his role of Program Director by programming both 92.5 THE WOLF and Willie 92.5. Randy “Shotgun” Shannon will work with Gamble as the Assistant Program Director of both stations.

92.5 THE WOLF’s New Weekday Schedule (all times MST):

About 92.5 THE WOLF and CBS RADIO
92.5 THE WOLF is Denver’s New Country Choice, playing 40 in a row, the longest of any country station in Denver. THE WOLF was designed specifically to give Denver’s country fans long sets of new country music with fewer commercials. KWLI is owned and operated by CBS RADIO, one of the largest major-market radio operators in the United States. A division of CBS Corporation, CBS RADIO operates 179 radio stations, the majority of which are in the nation’s top 50 markets. Locally, CBS RADIO also owns and operates KIMN and KXKL.

Nights voicetracked, Blair Gardner all nights, weekends jockless. As usual the boneheads at CBS on to another huge blunder.

Hi everyone:
Edward Morales said:
CBS don't know what they're doin'! Not only in Denver radio, but elsewhere!
Which is why CBS doesn't even own an AM stick in Denver and has to outsource Westwood One sports programs such as MNF to Lincoln Financial's AM sticks (They're about the only ones who'd most likely be able to take it IMO).

Cheers :D
