WILM's remote traffic reports have been restored.

At least Ken Fortna was reporting from his end of the two-tin-cans-connected-by-a-string at 8:15 this morning. So it seems the phone lines are finally up (at least for traffic) at WILM's new digs.

I still miss "MetroWeather" though.

Is John Watson's call in line back up yet? How about 1290's?

Watson's taking calls again. I don't know about 1290's. Metroweather's contract wasn't renewed when it expired at the end of 2006, so their absense had nothing to do with the phone lines not working. I too miss metroweather. Their report was a more detailed and somehow easier to listen to report than Accuweather on WDEL. It must be in how they presented it as it is the same information.

Re: WILM's remote traffic reports have been restored-1290.

1290 is back to airing a "local" talk show in the afternoon. Like WILM, they ran national shows in the local time spots until the move was completed.

WILM still has a ways to go with the recorded news & weather. A full minute of dead air yesterday between Fox news and Hannity.

1290 has three dedicated lines in the studio...one for each caller that they get every afternoon.

I didn't think it did. :)

I don't often listen to sports talk, but when I do its WFAN. I've tried listening to the "local" sports guy on 1290 and its so amateurish and unprofessional its painful to the ears. And the fact he has so few calls makes it worse.
