Hello Radio Folks!

You may have noted I have not updated the WILW Radio website (www.wilw.com) for quite some time. Unfortunately I have been having computer issues yet again on a brand new PC and they have affected the software that I use to create the site. I can't even import the existing site into the program!

I am switching the site over to a Mac but it is going to take some time to build. Please be patient during the construction phase and subsequent retrieval of the existing content and then the time it will take to add new content. With a little luck I can have the new site up and running in a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

William C. Walker

You must have purchased a Vista computer. I did too, until I discovered my Microsoft Front Page software wouldn't run right on it, despite the fact it came from the same vendor, Microsoft. Worse yet, they offered no update or patches to make their own software work on their new OS.

I couldn't get things to work on my web sites during my 60 day Vista adventure. Lots of other stuff wouldn't work right either. I finally gave up and returned the Vista computer. I'm back to XP, which works fine. You can still get new computers loaded with XP, but most retailers will deny it. That makes Linux look better and better all the time.

Vista has compatibility issues with all sorts of software, from M$'s own stuff to broadcast apps. I know lots of early adopters who have gone back to XP and plan to stay there until things catch up.

Yes, it came with Vista. Allegedly the software I am running is supposed to be Vista compatible but based upon the way it has been plagued with problems I suspect it is not. That, in combination with either Spyware issues or possibly a virus (two different anti virus programs and anti spyware may not be working right) the computer it al but hosed. Thankfully I've owned a newer Mac for a little over a year and that works just fine.
