Thanks to all that have added their names to the Comments I will submit to the FCC next week. Please note the deadline for submitting comments is this Saturday at 12 NOON EDT. After that point in time I will be sending the Comments and Signatories to an associate for review and then filing.

To read the Comments please go to www.wilw.com and then click on the Guest Commentary link in the Commentary link drop down menu. If you'd like to add your name just e-mail me with you name and contact information.

I meant to comment (off the record) on it but got sidetracked. I would rephrase a lot of things and take out the "FYIs". The FCC is a matter-of-fact organization with a lot of people involved in the decision making....the current proposal sounds like something you'd send to Uncle Bob to start a business. More technical details and more engineering drawings.<P ID="signature">______________

***Sam, actually the person that wrote most of this for me has extensive experience with FCC filings. In addition, he was a lawyer inside the beltway for nearly 20 years.

The actual Petition does offer up a fair amount of technical information, most of which I crafted myself with help from a couple of broadcast engineers. We have given ample information or at least the nuts and bolts of the technical side to show how it will work. If we get past the first RM and to the next phase, at that point, it is likely we will serve up more details concerning the technical aspects of the proposed service.

While the FCC is extremely interested in the technical side and places a lot of emphasis on this portion of a Petition and Comments, they will still want to see an all ecompassing or complete proposal that shows whether or not the service is needed and capable of being self sustaining.
