I know he was planning to leave the position for some time, after he was forced to perform his regular duties as well as produce the morning show. Its a shame to hear he was let go. Hopefully he will land on his feet, but im pretty sure that it will not be in radio

I was told after I posted this that he was let go because they were switching to their Urban Talk syndication Radio One has going. Not sure how true that is, but it makes sense.

That may not be such a bad choice for 1410, given that they're owned by the "urban radio specialists." Having urban talk on 1410 better fits with the mission of their company, which Radio One Dayton hasn't necessarily followed ever since the stations were purchased from Blue Chip. This news, if it proves true, should make a lot of people in the Oregon District who were pulling for Homer very happy. Unfortunately, what's to become of 1210 WDAO if this move does happen?
