WINK 96.9 Ft. Myers to be "Diva"

If you can receive it, check out 96.9. Looks like they might be changing on Monday morning. Right now the normal Hot AC format is playing along with sweepers teasing "Diva radio" on Monday morning and no mention of "WINK"

A stunt or the real thing?

Their website at www.winkfm.com shows a new "Diva" logo however it is very poorly done. Meanwhile, a flip isn't totally out of the question. Their ratings have been worse than ever (tied for 18th place 12+)

The Diva format is typically "Rhythmic AC" and now that WJGO gave up "Groovin' 102.9" there may be more room for a rhythmic AC format now. It's too bad that they couldn't make WINK work though. WINK-FM has been AC or CHR for how long now? Almost 30 years?

Interesting that even though WINK is in 18th place and WTLT is in 8th place, only 1.0 share separates the two. And that's 12+....I wonder if the 25-54 numbers are a little different story.

Also, even with WINK having bad numbers right now, I would have to think that they are still able to bill fairly decent off the "WINK" heritage/brand alone. They do need to fix it but I think using the Diva branding will be a mistake.

I'm not surprised! Wink has added more Rhythmic songs lately I.e. Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls. Also they have added the RAC slogan "Songs to make you feel good". I can receive Wink here in South Hillsborough County. Their fresh sound is a lot better than Mix and their tired old Nickelback and Rob Thomas and their 1999 playlist!
