WINNIE COOPER BACK ON THE MARKET

What caused this split was life in the pressure cooker of celebrity. Living in a fishbowl is distracting and causes tension. Such couples turn against each other because in the light of such constant intrusion, they grow to resent their spouses for garnering more press. The truly important values of marriage no longer matter. Sad.

Not that I really care about this story, but do you think the 'celebrity cooker' can really be pinned down as the culprit? McKellar's mostly had work as a guest star, animated voiceovers, and the occasional TV movie casting--nothing that has really put her back into current pop culture consciousness.

I haven't seen anything with a headline of "Mark Verta getting divorced after 10 years."
So even if she's not A-list, there's some imbalance there.
Plus, who knows what else is going on? She definitely lost her urge to be married to that guy.

Not to mention that she is apparently better known as her alter-ego "Winnie Cooper," (a role that she hasn't played in nearly 20 YEARS), hence the subject line of this thread, than as Danica McKellar. Talk about typecasting!

So they're getting divorced, "everybody" is getting divorced these days. It'd be more of a headline if they said, they were NOT getting divorced ;D

Good point, but her Winnie Cooper character lingers, thanks to Cable TV re-runs. Read Firepoint's comment, reply #4...

She is apparently a mathematical genius AND a lingere model.
That would be pretty intimidating for most guys to contend with.
