against them and I don't know what their particular rules are.
From a station's stand point of view, it just doesn't make
good radio when the same people win all of the time. It could
look to the other listener's as if the station is playing favorites
because there are a lot of listeners who cannot conceive of the idea
that some people make a life out of radio contests. It's unfortunate
because all stations want to have a diverse group of winners. I have
always thought the winner's rules should be stronger to give others
a chance.

Got some details that were just released... Without posting specific numbers, 103.7 is #3 overall in Adults 25-54 (and the #1 non-ethnic station in DFW), #1 in Adults 35-64, #5 12+, and #1 Women 18+.
I think that's pretty good "up".

In the late 80's, I won a Sgt. Pepper CD from KISS-FM. It was the first CD release of that album, if I remember correctly. And do you remember all the excitement about the CD revealing the squeaking of McCartney's piano bench on the last chord of A Day In The Life?
My biggest win was $1,000 from KDMX, when they were still owned by Nationwide. This was in 1996, while I was completely out of radio and going nucking futz. (some would say I still have a few screws loose, but that's another topic)The first thing I ever won, was a 6-pack of 45 RPM records from KWFR-1260 in San Angelo. Included in the pack was a needle-burned copy of Freda Payne's "Band of Gold". That was in 1970.

I think the best prize I ever won was dinner for two at the Venitian Room.The Coasters were playing there and a great time was had by all.I've won albums more times than I can count, and a box of 45s once (allpromo copies of songs that never made it to the radio, but a few of themweren't bad.) I think the first prize I ever won was a hair dryer. (That was before hand-held dryers came out.) I gave it to my Mom who was thrilled to getit.
