WINS Question

I listened to some advertisments for WINS and one of them contains a series of people each saying "You give us 22 minutes, we'll give you the world" and one of them sounded exactly like Regis Philbin. Can anyone confirm if he did the commercial?

Though I have to say, I like WINS' "The Newswatch NEVER Stops!" slogan better than "You give us 22 minutes" one.

i like to think of it as you give us 22 minutes we give you ten minutes of commercials.

Its the same way with Newsradio 780 WBBM here in Chicago. They have a few minutes of news, and tons of commercials!

I like both slogans of WINS.

At least be thankful you have 20 something minutes of news.

Here in Houston, KTRH had the same format and both of those slogans to boot, until Clear Channel started adding more talk shows and now, KTRH it's a shell of it's former self. :'(

And yet they have the audacity to call themselves Newsradio 740...

What's really bad is most of the commercials are:

  • Federal government employee ads
  • Long Island real estate ads, specifically pimping the expensive Hamptons
  • Quack medical ads. You know the ones, those "experts" that announce "I can cure your child's autism!!!" or "Get a lobotomy on your out of control child!!!"
  • New Jersey Board of Tourism Ads ::)
