Winter book

Getting back to the winter book, I noticed WLGZ AM was down to a 1.4. It was during the winter they started the simulcast on 102.7 FM. The FM is a no show. Will be interesting to see if the FM starts to show up in the current spring book. The eclectic blend of music is still a little hard for me to take...we'll see. I still think they should drop Bing and The Mills Brothers and the broadway show tunes.

The Saturday 8-midnight Oldies Request show is rather interesting. Like much of their programming, not real slick, but there is no way an oldies show with such a wide selection of music could happen on an Entercom or Clear Channel programmed station. Where did host Joe Centanni come from? He's pretty good on the air...did he work elsewhere in Rochester in days gone by?

WLGZ-FM shows up in the ratings posted at arbitron.com and at allaccess.com. R&R leaves them out, for some reason. It shows up with a 1.5.

You have to remember that WLGZ FM didn't change its format until after the winter book, therefore its poor showing really doesn't reflect a true sample of its ratings.

Let's see what the spring and summer books show before we can gauge what impact the station has with an audience.

I guess I went to the wrong website. The AM's 1.4 and the FM's 1.5 = 2.9 between the 2 of them. Yes, the spring book should be interesting.

I suggest they keep the broadway show tunes progam on, but move it to a more sensible sunday morning time slot.

Legends flipped to FM In February. See notes at bottom of Arbitron ratings on Radio and Records. Some of it is in this book, that's why they popped up.
