Winter Olympic Games pull in strong numbers for NBC affiliates

I did not criticize NBC. I criticized the broadcast.

The only thing I can comment on is the final product. I have no visibility as to who provides audio or video. IMHO the final product was not up to USA domestic standards.
I didn’t have any issues with the final product. Now as stated during the broadcast, the game was faster paced than a normal NHL game.

The first period was, definitely. Periods 2 and 3, not so much. The USA looked gassed.

The first period even looked much faster than a NHL playoff game. I'd compare it to the last two minutes of a period 3 where the winning team has only a one goal advantage. In other words, frantic.

Looks like this year's tournament will be forever known by referee issues and a Canadian player getting tossed off the team (permanently) due to "internal team issues".
