Winter Phase 2 trends are out

Sunny recovers from last month's drop.

Significant increase for KTRH!

Alarming drop for KLOL. Que pasa?

KROI staff must be singing the praises of the latest higher numbers.

The Wave still trending downward. Maybe the Fall book was the fluke.

KPTY must now stand for "pity." Numbers are less than half of what they were a few years ago.

Country Legends reverses recent drop.

Absolute stink bomb of the bunch: The Point. Way below the Mendoza line. Mind-numbing repetitive playlist has obviously burned out. Time to pull the plug and try something new...fast.

For those who have seen this before, forgive the post. For those who are new here, keep in mind the figures in R&R are "Total Persons Ages 12-Plus Monday thru Sunday, 6AM-Midnight."

Target audiences will reflect differently. Audience figures are seperated as to age groups and gender. If your an advertiser seeking females age 25-54, you would focus on a station where it's strength is in that group. Example:

Adults
18-34
18-49
25-49
25-54
35-64
35 Plus

You break it down for men and women. The figures can be broken down even further as 12-24 and etc.

I wished everyone could see the breakdowns. I don't know why they have to keep them hidden from the general public. I'd like to see TSL and CUME as well.

There's only one word to describe "K-HITS" and "THE POINT'S" numbers... fugly.

They have to keep them hidden. Arbitron charges it's clients for that service. You know how it is; you can't work for free. If you buy the service, ad agency or broadcast outlet, then you get to have them on the condition that you do not make the figures public.

Are we seeing the effects of moving Rush? KPRC down and KTRH up?
Could be, but since KTRH only went up .6 and KPRC only went down .3 they are more likely "bobbles." Very unlikely that a move such as this would have a noticable effect so soon. Watch the Spring book...only problem with that is the Astros also effect the equation, and they will go up anyway. It is not until you look at your core demos -- 25-54 and 35-64 males...plus the hourly breakdowns that you get a real notion of what effect Rush will have.

Well Hey, at least KIOL has beaten somebody in the ratings!

Wow, KLOLs numbers are near what they were pre-flip, I guess reagaetton and hurban were just a fad afterall.

I think the problem was someone forgot to "Fixx" KLOL. Clear Channel ruined many a rock station in Texas... KLOL was just another one along the way. Most "dance" style formats don't make it. It's a good "block format" for one of these stations for weekends, but it is not an everyday solution.
