Winter Ratings

How about them Clippers, who seem to be doing better than the Reds right now? :D

Good night, JohnBoy.

How about the first-place Columbus Crew?

(I know you would have worked a new flagship station mention in there, had you been composing this missive.)

Good night, Shaunboy.

JBC, I think you'll be happy to see your AM daypart on 106.7 in the target demo. I'll be interested to see if WTVN's re-imaging had any impact.

Since new ratings always sadistically reveal a bump for the old format as soon as the new one is in place, it seems safe to predict at least a marginal increase for 99.7 (well, vs. D/J/F anyway).

I can only see 99.7 going down. I wonder if anybody at NABCO listens to this. Drive around for a hour and you'll have had enough. At least the mics are off on all of those one word named dj's.

I say CKX or NCI for the top spot....then TVN or COL...COL seems to do better during the summers.
Then the AC's....SNY and LZT...

My guess
NCI
CKX
COL
TVN
SNY
LVQ
BZX now the rock
LZT
BWR
HOK
NNK
TDA
that's just a guess.....

and i forgot to put in cd 101 and radio 1067.....hmmm...somewherre in between SNY and HOK :)

Remember, the 99.7 performance reflected in Friday's Winter Quarterly report will be 100% for the Blitz.  The Rock won't start showing up until the first Spring trend. It just seems that as soon as a station finally decides to change format (to whatever), you can be sure the final month for the old format will show an uptick and cause some second-guessing of the decision to change. That's the ONLY reason I would predict any kind of upswing for 99.7 in its final all-Blitz ratings.

Actually...it's more cha-CHING!!! ;)

And nobody is complaining since the talk shows are on the online stream. Many, including the local programs, are available on podcast.

Having said that...the question many will be asking is whether the ratings will remind one of the Beatles' song "Hello Goodbye."

As in hello WVKO-AM, goodbye WYTS?

Or, put another way, will SeanBoy Gilbow find vindication :D while JohnBoy Crenshaw is at his WYTS end ?

Stay tuned. 8)
