WIOD: Please Play The Correct Day's Weather Forecast

This happens time and time again on this sorry excuse for a news/talk station.

11pm last night (Thursday night) we were all treated to the following weather forecast:

"Starting off the day in the upper 60s, followed by a sunny and warm Thursday afternoon...."

Ummm. Thursday afternoon? As in 8 hours ago?

I would prefer to receive weather FOREcasts rather than weather BACKcasts, thank you.

Fortunately, the weather is pretty much the same day-to-day down here so if anyone at WIOD is reading this, perhaps you can instruct your weather jox at the Weather Channel to just leave out any mention of what actual day they are talking about. That way, you can continue to pay a barely trained baboon in bananas and mangos to run the WIOD board after 5pm and we the listening audience won't be any the wiser. ;)

Well, Monday night I was listening to WIOD and heard the weather channel forecast that went something like this...

"For the next few days hot weather with afternoon thunderstorms. For Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday we're looking at highs in the low 90s...."

And I immediately thought, Uh Oh! I bet the WIOD board op monkey is going to get confused on Tuesday night and play the Monday night forecast and lo and behold, Tuesday night's weather channel forecast was...

"For the next few days hot weather with afternoon thunderstorms. For Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday we're looking at highs in the low 90s...."

Now, I wonder, will we be treated to Monday's weather channel forecast again tonight, Wednesday night?

and obviously the monkey was trained on some type of digital editing software, and the weather has to be uploaded into the automation. Its not the the forcast being old is the problem. All it need is a few edits and it will at least sound current and no one is the wiser.

But Alas, this what happens when you got, what 8 stations in the building and one board op in the building whose is probably off in la la land downloading porn on CC's dime.
