Hum .Stale 4 year old theads taste good.oops I forgot the peanut butter.Ok to the topic.I was a big fan of WIOF back in the 70's also I was a big fan of 1300 WAVZ.I was pssst about when WIOF swithed to Magic in 1978 week of March 9 1978.according to a old 1978 calender I found when I was moving.WWYZ switched 10 years later which it would be great if WWYZ switched soon after WIOF did ,but the country music rating books were crap then.I was very happy when WAVZ's format got a shot on FM when WKCI become KC101.I remember time after time visting KC101 studios and the North Haven Fair remotes with my buddy and chatting with Willie B Goode and the other great jocks at the time.
I have a request. does anybody have any airchecks of WIOF when it was the Drake Chenault, Great American Country automated format ?

In response to Ken, 104.1 was called Star 104 when it flipped to Radio 104 alternative rock. I actually did the last show as the Star format. I had been doing the 7 to midnight slot for about a month when the flip happened on Halloween. I ended up board oping for them while they were jockless for the first several months and then did weekends before leaving in late 1996.
