WIOO, Moving to 1010 with 5000W Daytime

With the reduction of power at WOLB Baltimore and loss of WCST Berkley Springs on 1010, they got approval for a directional signal protecting 1010 New York day and night.

I'm surprised they were given night power considering their close proximity to WINS.

And, according to Northeast Radio Watch, WCST actually has since returned to the air. Though the WIOO signal is apparently also protecting that station as well.

I looked up the pattern at radio-locator.com---the bulk of the juice goes up through Perry and Juniata counties---it appears to offer a very slight improvement in Harrisburg, but at the cost of everything southeast through southwest--it'll be inaudible in York and I expect it might even be shaky in Dillsburg. And there ain't no $$ in Perry and Juniata! Then at night, it flips and goes south into Mt Holly Springs, missing Mechanicsburg and the west shore completely. I wonder if it'll be worth the electricity? As a friend of mine pointed out, the WIOO calls no longer will match the freq---and WIOI is already on 1010 in Ohio.
