Seltzer said:97.5 the Fanataic is getting nowhere. With Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers, WIP-FM would have a huge advantage. Plus it'd be great to hear the station without the typical AM problems..thunderstorms, etc
Seltzer said:Oh I think we get it about WYSP. We just may not all agree the status quo is the right way to go. CBS has put FM Sports Talkers in Boston and Pittsburgh. As big a sports town as Philly is, it's hard to believe they would not make the move here. In spite how well the format is performing on WIP AM.

What if WIP moved the station now to 94.1 and offered ESPN 610 for full clearance, except for PBP on 610. That would really put the nail in the coffin of Greater Media as far as sports go. Aggressive forward thinking programmers would be making that move now. ESPN would pull off of PEN in a heartbeat to get on 610. Cincinnati proves they want to upgrade whenever possible. At the same time this occurs, launch ESPNPhiladedlphia.com. Sales could have a heyday selling the combo and the web presence. 94.1 WIP would have access to the ESPN analysts.
They already have the PBP rights to all the city's franchises.
WYSP in it's current state is going nowhere.
