WIP HD-3 is in stereo

I am listening to wmysp rock right now and am pretty sure I hear some seperation on the HD-3. I wish CBS would've done it when 610 was on WYSP HD-3.

Well the internet feed is in Stereo for WMySP.
The anolog feed of 94WIP sounds like its being run from the HD monitor, and while I'm pretty sure 94.1 anolog is stereo, the feed from WIP isn't. 94.1 sounds really strange, crisp high's that are two high. Sorta reminds me of the internet feed too. Which leads me to a question.
If you're gonna keep the anolog stereo, shouldn't at least the jingles promo's etc be stereo too?
If you're gonna put a mono feed on an FM stereo signal, why not change the signal to mono and expand coverage?
I'd think it would help with multi-path issues as well.

The Eagles coverage has always been in stereo and I would expect it to remain in stereo.

Here's hoping Phillies coverage is in stereo for 2012, too.

Did KDKA-FM or WBZ-FM turn off their stereo generators too when they flipped to sports? Always check to make sure the stereo is off when you're running a spoken-word format (such as news-talk, sports, etc.)... if WIP-FM is still running in stereo, then someone must not have been paying attention at CBS Philly...

Oh yeah, multiple croud mikes which are panned in such a way to create a stereo field. At leats I believe that's how it works. I had forgotten about that.
