Wired 96.5 Rotation Issues, or Seeking Attention?

I just heard Stay Fly followed by Oye Mi Canto followed by Stay Fly again!

WTF?!

Is this common for them? I don't listen regularly as I'm not in Philly... Just picked them as my online stream to check out today.

UPDATE: They just did the same thing with Pharrell/Gwen Stefani's new record.
Edited by radiospasm on 11/05/05 06:51 PM.

Might be because of their commercial-free webcast. They fill the breaks with songs and they may not have their "in-commercial" playlist synched up with the normal one.

Check yes.com to see if that actually went out over the air.

Ahh, you know, that makes sense. Because there was one song that ended about 90 seconds into it, then a sweeper and the next song. I've never heard a stream of a station doing that. Very cool- if they could just sync it up with the on-air program log, that'd be GREAT!

Thanks for the reply.

Weezer and Fall Out Boy! (96.5's new podcast show)

I heard Beverly Hills by Weezer as well as the highly played Fall Out Boy song back to back. What is Wired trying to accomplish? I think they're swinging at Q102 with both fists now. Moreoever, with Y100 and now WYSP gone, it's a good time to differentiate a hit music station. The songs were on a podcast show. However I heard Weezer again, so methinks it's in Wired's light rotation. They're either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid... I've been thinking since day one.
