So Chio was fired at Wired 96.5 because of ratings. It really surprises me about the ratings, if thats really true. If you like CHR.....its either Wired or the cookie cutter "SYNDICATED" Q102 with Elvis Durran & Ryan Seacrest all day. Was Q102 really beating them that bad? And where's Chio going and whats Wired going to do?

One landing spot might be the new CHR that just signed on in Boston at 96.9...BTW - what's going on at Wired? It seems that recently it's become more of a revolving door with the dismissal of the entire morning show and now, today, with their afternoon guy, who, if I recall correctly, was just hired last summer...

Very interesting. I really liked the afternoon guy...Grooves. Thats a shame since yes, he did come not to long ago. But yes, Chunky just resigned from Z90.3 in san Diego.

Chunky's girlfriend is from Philadelphia. I would not doubt we'll get Chunky In The Morning on Wired 96.5. I miss him on 93.3 Now.

I'm surprised he moved all the way to San Diego just to do mornings on a college station in San Diego.

The station in San Diego is not a college station. It`s a major station in a Top 20 market its just not the Philly radio market. Considering that it is about 18 degress this morning in Philly and 80 degress in San Diego the GF and money difference are big reasons to move.

Z90 is a station strategically located in Mexico by the border that super serves San Diego. Same rules do not apply in Mexico and that part of the band there is commercial as well. Come on Nick.

Whoops, didn't realize that Z90.3 was in Mexico. I thought that it was non-commercial since it's below 92.

And right next door to "Z90" is "91X," a famous alternative rock station that once aired Howard Stern in morning drive.

I remember one time back in 1995 that Stern had received a tape of imaging on the station, including during his show - which Stern didn't appreciate very much.
