wired pd out

leo baldwin is out cannon is the pd in the Interim while they look for a new pd

could beasley be looking to put WWDB back on the air ???

give Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity a home on the fm dial in philly with a live and local talk show in the morning ??

but if beasley even had a plan to put WWDB back on you know cc would beat them to it with 104.5 or 106.1

It's likely a stretch that something as routine as someone moving on (voluntarily or otherwise) hints at the resurrection of something buried a decade ago.

Why would they wouldn't fire the PD in advance of blowing out the format? Wouldn't they just fire everyone whenever they're ready?

ok fine wired does sound good

but get rid of that one girl that sounds like shes chewing her face im glad they put casey back in mid-days

So the fact that the airstaff is "solid" makes the station less likely for a format change?

If every airstaff that was "solid" was left alone we'd have stations all over the place with good airstaffs.

I agree. Best, most cohesive airstaff in town. No reason to blow this station up. "Radio" people often have difficulty understanding a radio programmed for its audience, and not the industry. Wired is much more healthy than you give them credit for. They'll find their way. I wouldn't bet against them. ;-)

Why is it that on these forums, even a board op's bowel movement is taken as a sign of an impending flip to FM Talk? What's the obsession with FM Talk? You guys realize that FM talk would not bill anywhere near what WRDW bills, don't you -- and if Beasley was confident in FM talk they wouldn't have flipped in the first place. Can we put this 'FM talk' talk to bed?

The speculation is a little much, but in fairness, the "they wouldn't have flipped in the first place" argument is kind of moot now more than 10 years later. Things have changed in those 10 years, wouldn't you say? Less so in making talk radio stronger, but more so in making music radio weaker.
