Wireless mics and IFB's

I've engineered and produced sports remotes for several years. Thanks to DTV I'm replacing my now illegal wireless mic with a new one and for the first time adding a wireless IFB. I'm probably going to buy Sennheiser's Evolution series and the equipment will be in their "A" band (518 to 554 mhz). If anyone has experience with this question I'd appreciate an answer. If I run the wireless mic at say 534 mhz and the wireless IFB at say 536mhz, will there be a performance problem. The mic receiver would be adjacent to the IFB transmitter. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I use a Shure wireless mic and a Galaxy Audio "Anyspot" wireless monitor system for IFB with our sideline guy during high school football games. However, they are fairly widely separated in frequency, I think the wireless mic is in the 500 MHz range and the IFB is in the 600 MHz range.

It all depends how selective the front-end is on the wireless mic receiver -- you wouldn't want the IFB transmitter to desense the receiver and reduce your wirleless mic range, or bleed into the mic signal.

The Sennheiser Evolution wireless equipment works great. It is exceptionally sensitive and selective. I doubt you will have any problems.

Had great luck with the Lectrosonics' using frequencies near the oposite ends of the same group.
In a stadium situation used for the IFB the T4 xmtr (250 mw) and R1a rcvr. Wireless mic is the UM450 xmtr (also 250 mw) and an R400A rcvr. They just wore the belt packs rcvr and transmitter on opposite sides.
