If Minnesota voters love Al Franken as much as his Madison audience did Tuesday, he might be a shoo-in for election to the U.S. Senate.
The comedian, author and left-wing talk show host brought "The Al Franken Show" to the Barrymore Theatre for a live broadcast on Air America Radio and its Madison affiliate on 92.1 FM.
From the standing ovation when Franken walked on stage to enthusiastic applause for popular subjects,
Franken the capacity audience of 850 showered adoration on Franken. He has said he is pondering a run for the Senate seat once held by the late Paul Wellstone.
"This is such a cool town," Franken told the crowd before joking about frozen tundra as his program went on the air. ...
