Isn't WISL long gone from the AM band and available ONLY on the Web?

Yes, and it is attracting a considerable audience with their stream from people that remember the old WISL. Receiving some nice e-mails from listeners. They are very active in the community, making various appearances at functions in the Shamokin area. So they are atracting attention to the station and getting a good response, which is attracting attention to the Doo Wop Vault's podcast/archives.

Cute website...real hometown. The music and programs are in line with what WPAZ "Buzzers" should have done. A lot of 'appointment listening" here. Wow, even historic jingles, weather forcasts and Kevin Fennessy doing imaging! Nice job guys. This appeals to the users of the AM band. But of course, it didn't save the original WISL either!

Forgot to mention, they are also broadcasting on a part 15 transmitter, and will be installing more transmitters to cover a wider area. So, it isn't the size...but the quality.

Well, as I said before, you could be doing everything right, making all the correct decisions, doesn't mean it will catch on with listeners, just like any other business, it's the luck of the draw, some make it and some don't. There is no magic formular, regardless what is said on this board.
