WISL1480.com CHECK OUT OUR OLDIES!

Hello everyone!

I know it's a shameless plug, but if you love the greatest hits of the 50's, 60's and early 70's check out our stream, I feel we have a pretty good product!... We are attempting to preserve the memory of one of Pennsylvania's small town AM stations, now gone... we are continually building our programming trying to focus on full-service features, including an authentic POLKA SHOW with former WISL host Tom Kutza!

Much more to come!

Congratulations to WISL AM in Shamokin! I remember listening to that station back in 1966/67 while in high school in nearby Sunbury. I worked
as a part time announcer/DJ in 1965/68 at a small 1kw AM in Milton, PA in
Northumberland County also, WMLP 1380 could be heard from north of
Berwick to near Shamokin/Mt Carmel and south to just north of Harrisburg
with a sound like a bigger metro station coming from Philly. I remember
a sunday afternoon hearing a new Johnny Rivers song, "Where Have ALL The
Flowers Gone" in 1966 for the first time on WISL.
