WITC at Cazenovia College had a problem with their Armstrong transmitter; something in the built-in fuse holder fried and fried hard. They were totally off the air and had to file an STA while awaiting repairs.
Fortunately, WHWS had a near-identical Bext transmitter at the same power level that we weren't using, so it's on-loan to WITC for a few months. I helped their advisor, Andrew, get WITC back on-air on Tuesday night.
For the record, WITC is the ONLY station local to the town of Cazenovia, although (of course) they get a fair amount of radio service from most Syracuse stations.
Also for the record, with all the recent rain and melting snow, Chittenango Falls was quite spectacular on Tuesday evening; I drove past it just as the sun was setting and the sheer volume of water roaring over the edge was amazing.
