With y-92.5 gone, Who Will Go ALL CHRISTMAS this year?

I doubt that MY 92.5 KGBY will be going ALL CHRISTMAS like their predesessor, AC Y-92.5 . I wonder if MIX 96.1 will fill the void this year or NO EARLY ALL CHRISTMAS STATION?

Mix 96 usually mixes in Xmas songs as the holidays get closer. I never cared much for Y92 a) starting playing holiday music before Thanksgiving...before that is too early, and b) all Xmas music.

Myself, I get burned out on the songs really fast and get sick of them before Xmas arrives. Takes away from the specialness of Xmas when you start celebrating months in advance

Well, I was wrong. KGBY aka MY 92.5 did go ALL CHRISTMAS MUSIC after all. I thought when They switched from AC to a HOT AC format last year, that the Christmas Music would be gone too. They probably made big bucks going Christmas? BTW They changed sometime this morning.

The wife had Y92 on in the car when we went out to dinner last night. She loves Xmas music. Burl Ive's "Holly Jolly Christmas" came on and I made a noise like a tortured animal. She quietly turned on 98 Rock and all was well in the world.

She did seem a little pissed for a few minutes....

KYMX maybe doing it for the weekend. Again they may be early in the torture war. Luckily when only have KOST down here. I wasted no time dumping the preset when I heard it yesterday.

I'm glad Mix switched so I have something to listen to. I enjoy the Christmas format and the filtered female voice artist/title tags that My92-5 put on all of their songs is really annoying... especially when the tags step over the vocals for the last few seconds of the song... just really really sloppy.

Isn't it pathetic, and so typical of radio these days......even automated radio can be professionally done, but they probably use someone who doesn't care to insert the liners into Prophet, probably all at :05 left.....

Of course, when your company is headed for financial disaster, that remains the only real concern.....

And the "radio consultants" tell management the imaging is what's important, not the entertainment content or production skills.
