Other prescription medications like Viagra, etc., etc.

And of course, Paid Political Announcements.

In the case of political advertising, look for much more of it in the 2006 midterm elections than in the 2002 midterms, and far more in the 2008 Presidential election year than in 2004.

In many areas, non-political advertising may all buy vanish from local television in the two to three weeks prior to the 2006 and 2008 elections.

How about exercise videos by a "fitness celebrity" you never heard of, like this 'John Face Down' as I call him. He's everywhere. He's everywhere. Drives me nuts.

Hey, John Boy. About those washboard abs. Wear this. It's called a SHIRT!

That company out of Chicago that installs carpets, Empire.

Someone mentioned ads for Dish TV and cable TV. The one
that grates on me is DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket promo.
That guy doing the singing is absolutely the WORST!
And I'm not too crazy about that redheaded woman who does
their promos for DirecTV high-speed Internet access, either.
Edited by bpatrick on 07/24/05 04:14 PM.

> How long has it been since Dell got rid of the dude?

February 9, 2003. The guy who played him, Ben "Steven" Curtis, was fired by Dell after he was arrested for buying marijuana off the streets of New York(from a undercover cop)!

The next time you hear "Dude, You're Getting A Cell," you'll know where that joke came from because his arrest made headlines the following day, even though the judge was lenient and his case was dismissed on the condition that he stayed out of trouble for a year(In other words no jail time if he stayed drug-free), and apparently he took that advice ever since.

And, it sure wouldn't be the same without the 40% increase in volume from the program that you have been watching.

Eight-hundred-5-8-8...2-3-hundred...EMPIRE! Today!

Presently, I'm quite sick of the car ads with Jason Alexander and Lee Iacocca. Enough!

Preferable to the judge telling him, "Dude, you're getting 10 years."

Well at least she[Youree Cleomilli Dell Harris, her real full name] was entertaining to watch. After all she had 'character'!

And to think she was the one who made "The Cards Never Lie!" into a popular catchphrase.

I forgot the Bloomberg for Mayor ads which have been airing in NYC for a couple months now.
______________
