If you have comcast cable you are weary of Vehix.com advertisements......

I like the European commercial method...all commercials show at the break between shows...not during the shows...wish that happened here in US

- Windows. Some stations air endless window commercials. In Detroit there is one starring retired veteran WDIV news anchor Mort Crim. "Hello Detroit, I'm Mort Crim".

- Incontenance (sp?) and other bladder problems. I hate that one ad..."Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go gotta go gotta go I GOTTA GO RIGHT NOW!"

- Movies coming soon to theatres or DVD

- Grocery stores. If any of you watch Canadian TV there is a hilarious one for A&P. An employee from A&P is seen making an announcement over the PA at a grocery store about some freshness policy they have. He goes onto say "Only at A&P." Then he starts repeating "A&P" over and over and faster as it becomes apparent that he is in another grocery store. Two employees of this store start running after him and then just before getting caught he shouts the store slogan "We're fresh obsessed" and runs away, across the street back to A&P. There used to be a lot of ads for the Loeb chain in Ontario as well.

- Amusement parks. It seems like Six Flags Darien Lake in Sandusky, Ohio is promoted a lot around the Great Lakes region.

- Radio stations. On cable here there are radio station ads subbed over the American ads on CNN, and most of the radio station ads are very annoying.

- Furniture stores. Art Van, Leon's and The Brick are all common.

- Hearing aids. Over the past year in Ontario a company called Listen Up Canada has developed, starting in the Southwest and now into the Toronto region. They have very frequent ads here and the jingle is especially annoying. "Listen up......Canada! Turn up the volume on life!" These ads are also very frequent on the radio.

- Drinking and driving (MADD)

- Infomercials. On WPXN in New York you've got to advertise your infomercials! (Do they still do that since the branding change from PAX to "I"?)

- Any technical, non-community college. Devry and ITT have been mentioned; there's also Westervilt College in Ontario that advertises on several station. Its jingle is well known - "Westervilt Colleeeeeeeeeeege". Does Devry still have their jingle? "Reach for the skyyyyyyy...Devry!"

- West Nile Virus

- Banks offering high interest savings accounts (ING Direct)

Bob's Discount Furniture! My fellow New Englanders know what I'm talking about. I have been told Bob runs ads on NYC stations also. Some of his latest ads say Bob's is coming to New Jersey, so if it's South Jersey Philly will probably get these annoying commercials as well.

No thanks, I'll endure the bad commercials and enjoy the good ones so I can have free TV.
