WITT

It took these folks what seemed like forever to finally bring this project to fruition - yet now there's no buzz, even though this non-com is precisely what a lot of folks that here crow about - a lot of unique, original programming with a lot of local voices. Any updates on this project? ???

Interesting point...it's like Lib Talk radio...a lot of people suggest it, but when it is tried, not many actually listen. Reminds me of when I was playing DJ back in the 70's...every dance I did, 'play Free Bird' was heard several times. Every time I played it, it cleared out the dance floor. Everybody wanted to hear it, but once it was there, no one embraced it.

The phone calls and emails to WITT ever since going on air in June have been
100 percent positive. How many have there been? Last count was approaching hundreds.
Listeners are telling us they just happened to find the station at 91.9 and have not changed
to any other station since. That is encouraging.
Yet we wait to see if that enthusiasm continues or is short-lived.
WITT continues to create programming aimed at the issues and concerns of the COL,
Zionsville and Boone county. Already one hour per week in prime time on Wednesdays
is devoted to just that.

Perhaps there are a number of listeners in central Indiana who enjoy the variety. We shall
see.

Thanks for the update CityRadio91.9 -
With so much negative feedback about the industry on this board from time-to-time regarding corporate ownership and operation of this industry, I'm surprised you don't have people beating the doors down to participate. It would seem your operation is just what the doctor ordered for the many who seem despondent about how the business is run today, and long for the "old days" when the industry was more "mom and pop."
Good luck to you. ;D
