WJAB is (occasionally) in HD

I was surprised to see that A&M's WJAB 90.9 had filed for a notice of digital operation back in January. It appears they are periodically using the HD transmitter and are in the process of a studio rebuild as part of the HD upgrade. No word yet on whether they'll add subchannels, but I can't imagine going through the trouble and not adding something to the lineup. WVAS in Montgomery is doing two different feeds in addition to their main broadcast.

Since its inception, the students at A&M have complained that their radio station doesn't play anything that they want to listen to. Maybe an HD subchannel, possibly simulcasted on a small translator, playing an urban format is in the works
