WJAM is Moving to Shorter Alabama

WJAM is moving to Shorter. I know not why they are moving but Roscoe Miller is fixing to lose his other station in Montgomery. How sad indeed. :'(Anyway, here is the link to that info: http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/info?call=WJAM&service=FMCare to speculate about the intentions. My thoughts are as follows: Since WALX is changing its COL to Orrville and WJAM is moving to Shorter, I predict that the Urban format and WJAM calls will move to 100.9 and the Hot AC and WALX calls will move to 107.9.R.D.P. <><P.S. Mr. Roscoe needs to find somewhere else to relocate or he will no longer have a voice on the airwaves of the Gump. He might could relocate to 107.1, if the current owner were to sell off that translator, for the right price. Care to speculate on that one. Still love this new web site. It rocks! :D

CP Granted for WKXN 107.1 Translator in Montgomery

With the CP now being granted for WJAM, thought you may be interested in reading this CP. It's for the WKXN translator in Montgomery. Since WJAM is moving, this CP was a waste of paper, money and resources. Sorry Mr. Roscoe or whoever filed it, your CP is history since WJAM is moving to the Capital City. :'(Hope Roscoe and company will be able to relocate to a new frequency, so that they can continue to broadcast their unique mix of music and programs to Montgomery.R.D.P. <><P.S. Here the link to that CP for WKXN in Montgomery (107.9 Translator): http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/info?call=W300AN&service=FX

A Correction

The title to my second post had a mistake in it. :(Now I am going to correct that title. It should have read, CP granted for WKXN 107.9 Translator in Montgomery. :(Maybe one day I will get my stuff right before typing it out. I am a very fast typer and sometimes I tend to make mistakes. Glad I caught that one, before someone else did. ;)R.D.P. <><

According to the WKXN website, they have been broadcasting on 107.1, as well as 107.9 in Montgomery for some time. Of course neither covers the entire city, but perhaps Mr. Miller will be able to keep 107.1 at least.

As of this posting, WALX hasn't changed its COL to Orrville and WJAM hasn't moved to Shorter.  These two stations are still using their current COL's and Facilities.  If anything does happen, I'll keep you posted.
