WJAR is "overkilling" it with traffic reports

There's a report at around 5:42 AM, then another one at 5:47 AM.
There's a report around 6:02 AM, then another one at 6:10 AM, and again at 6:17 AM.

It seems completely unnecessary to check the roads after you just did so 5 minutes ago. The drive times and/or road conditions are going to be the same as they were <10 minutes ago unless a tractor trailer exploded or rolled over.

Do you understand not everyone turns on the news at the same time?

For adults who.. especiallyy may l;ive in the suburbs and have to take their kids to school and head into the city for work.. this is when theyre going to start their day. They dont have a ton of time to stay glued to a TV. I can see between 5 and 630 if they had an overabundance (to the avg person) of traffic reports, it might make sense. Keeps eyes on tv and not a smartphone app
